About this course

This course is structured in micro-learning units. Learning units are grouped in thematic clusters, such as Cloud computing, Data management, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Within each cluster, you will have various micro-learning units, each one covering a specific topic. You can navigate freely to each of these units. From the home page, you will find a block on the right-hand side titled TOPICS showing all the different clusters and corresponding learning units. From the TOPICS block, you can visit any of the learning units.

Within each unit, you will have an upper menu showing you learning units, as shown below:

Each unit is composed of a few videos, some reading material, a basic quiz, and possibly an advanced quiz. You only need to complete the main quiz to have completed the learning unit. There are lots of opportunities for you to delve into other materials about each topic, but you are not required to do that in order to complete that unit. The idea is that you will always be able to come back and learn more as you need it. Each learning unit should take you around 30-45 minutes to complete. You can take as much time as you want to complete all the units in the learning pathway, but we recommend you complete them in about 1-2 weeks.

Visit the “How does this course work?” page to learn more.

Learning paths

Learning paths are sequences of learning units on a given topic. When you subscribe to a learning path and complete all the respective learning units, you will be awarded a digital badge.

Users may be assigned to learning paths or subscribe themselves to them. We have prepared for you various thematic learning paths. You are recommended to take these units in the order they are displayed, it is only a requirement if you have been subscribed one or more learning paths.

If you are subscribed to a path, this information will be shown to you on the landing page as shown in the figure below:

A path looks like the diagram shown below. At the end you will receive the respective digital badge. (The example below shows the Fundamentals pathway, which is the one we usually suggest to first time users.)
